Wharf acquires no.9, 11 Mansfield Road Site, The Peak for HK$7.25 billion through joint venture
The Wharf (Holdings) Limited (“Wharf”, stock code: 0004) announces that a joint bid in the name of Active Pursuit has successfully acquired the Mansfield Road No. 9 and 11 residential site at The Peak for a total of HK$7.25billion through public Government tender. The land parcel commands a total site area of about 54,541 square feet and will offer about 144,970 square feet of GFA. This translates into an accommodation value of about HK$50,010 per square foot. Wharf owns 50% of the project.
Mr Stephen Ng, Chairman and Managing Director of The Wharf (Holdings) Limited representing the joint group said, “Supply of premium sites at the Peak is scarce, it is even more so for prestigious addresses like Mansfield Road sites that boast panorama sea view overlooking Island South. The Group is pleased to have successfully acquired the second Mansfield Road site, this time through a joint bid, subsequent to the No.2-8 Mansfield Road site acquired by the Group at year end of 2020. We anticipate synergy as these sites are developed.”
The Group is experienced in development properties with solid client database for super luxury properties at The Peak. The project will be developed and marketed by Wheelock Properties.
The Group is one of the largest private property owners on The Peak. It owns an attributable land bank on the Peak of more than 570,000 square feet including the newly acquired site.
