Young Innovators Bazaar 2023

The 3-day Young Innovators Bazaar concluded successfully on 23 April at Plaza Hollywood, Diamond Hill.  Following to the Ribbon-cutting Event on 21 April, the Kick-off Ceremony was held on 22 April with the presence of the Honourable Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

To encourage the creativity and innovation, no theme was set for the bazaar but students were encouraged to integrate creativity and sustainability into their product design. This year, 63 schools set up attractive booths at Plaza Hollywood and sold a wide range of products, including a number of upcycling products like pen barrel made from disposed wood, lamp shades made from recycled materials, self-designed t-shirts and DIY accessories.

The aim of Young Innovators Bazaar is to develop students’ skill sets in leadership, entrepreneurship, communication, marketing and sales outside the classroom setting.  Corporate partners and volunteers passed on business knowledge and experience through talks and workshops, also supported the students by visiting the bazaar and purchasing the products.
