Visit to ‘Playtao Foreverland’ After School Scheme by Wheelock Properties
On 28 May 2013, Wheelock Properties visited ‘Playtao Foreverland’ After School Scheme in Lions Clubs International Ho Tak Sum Primary School. Mr Ricky Wong, our Managing Director, together with our corporate volunteers spent an afternoon with the students to understand the difficulties they faced in learning and living. ‘Playtao Foreverland’ is a pilot project supported by ‘Social Ventures Hong Kong’, by providing continuous after schools activities to the students from low-income family, it gives the students chances for all-rounded development and helps to build up their confidence, which helps to provide a long term solution to the poverty concerns in Hong Kong.
Apart from the support from schools, the project has also gained support from the community and professional advice on Finance, marketing and operation from corporates. Wheelock Properties encourages innovative social services and hopes to sooth various social problems by promoting cross-sector collaboration.
