As part of its corporate social responsibility initiative, Wheelock Properties joined hands with celebrated nature photographer and founder of The Photographic Heritage Foundation, Edward Stokes, on a series of efforts to promote conservation of the Peak. Featuring 14 photographs taken by Stokes on the Peak, the “Nature on The Peak photo exhibition was successfully held at Wheelock Gallery in Admiralty from 11th to 27th December, 2013.

The photo exhibition was a photographic tribute to the natural beauty on the Peak and its environs.

Raised on Mount Nicholson at The Peak, Edward Stokes has always had a special place for The Peak in his heart. “I love every little thing about Mount Nicholson, especially the half kilometer long Tree Avenue. Tourists today often come to see only the glitzy glamour of the Hong Kong skyline but they completely miss out on the natural environment around them. After all, the Hong Kong Trail at The Peak is recognised by popular guidebook, The Lonely Planet, as one of the top ten city hikes in the world,” said Edward. He hopes that his work will bring a fresh perspective on The Peak and that people will see it in a new light.
